Completed the Program in 2006

I had been using drugs and alcohol throughout most of my adult life. At the time I really thought that this was a good way to live. I felt good all the time. I was the life of the party – or so I thought. However, like most good things, it wasn’t long before I let everything get out of hand. Somewhere along the line I became hooked on heroin and cocaine. I was spending every penny I could get my hands on to support my habit. My life was a complete mess. I knew it was time to put an end to all the drugs and alcohol, but I had no clue as to where to begin.

Rehabs didn’t work. I tried several to no avail. My habits ultimately put me in prison, but eventually I was back out on the street on parole. Even though I knew that a relapse could put me back in jail, I didn’t care. I was an addict. Prison didn’t help me with my addictions – it just put them on hold.Within months of getting out of prison I was back to using heroin and cocaine on a daily basis. I truly believed I couldn't function without it.

Then I found out about Vista Bay. Here was a program that finally provided me with the tools I needed to stay sober. The Sauna Program was absolutely amazing. It was an opportunity of a lifetime and I put 100% into it. What it gave me back was the ability to think clearly again and a brand new clean body to work with.

I graduated the Vista Bay Program in August 2006. I had went home to be with my family and loved ones. While I was home I kept in touch with many of the people whom I had made friendships with at Vista Bay. It didn't take long before I realized just how happy I was as a student at Vista Bay. So I decided to return to join the Vista Bay Staff. This program saved my life. I have never been more content. I enjoy what I do today. I have the most rewarding job in the world, which is helping others get off drugs and alcohol. It is a thrill to see them get their lives back, and know that I had something to do with it. Today the people I am around are the best people in the world, and I have what I consider to be the best friends in the world.
